The HFT-1500 is a low cost version of the CI1000TM and automates the testing of high frequency Printed Wiring Boards (PWB). The system provides numerical data on circuit trace impedance, propagation delay, dielectric constant and interconnect loss. The information gathered can be automatically evaluated against pass/fail criteria or used to grade the quality of PWBs.
The HFT-1500's
computer guidance software, test results storage, test failure alerts and results reporting. either locally or over a network, make the HFT-1500 easy to learn & operate, very efficient and highly cost effective. The HFT-1500 meets all industry standards.
The Introbotics HFT-1500
is 6 to 15 times faster than a hand probe tester, and achieves payback within 9-12 months. The HFT-1500 can be placed on the production line or in a testing room.

HFT-1500™ Capabilitiesimage

Run-Test capability is used for quick and simple test runs. Tester delivers numerical impedance results.
Config and run capability enables a standard or custom test specification with guided steps or imported CAD/CAM file. Propagation Delay and TDR WaveForm data collection can be selected. Test coupons (pre-routed or in- panel), panels, or individual boards can all be accommodated.
Differential Measurements are provided by the simultaneous generation of coupled TDR pulses. This simple, very effective technique provides true differential measurement. The probe calibration procedure eliminates probe-induced errors.
Measurement Automation accuracy is ensured by taking up to eight (8) measurements per test point. Automatic fault detection eliminates false data production. Measurement automation ensures a very repeatable measurement process.
Intranet Network Support provides access to the test database, all reports and results and the WaveForm Viewer™. CAD/CAM data can be downloaded to the HFT-1500™ to set up the computer guidance screen and set all test parameters. Report Writer and WaveForm Viewer™ screens can be viewed and sent through your network.
Handles boards as small as 5.25" x 0.5" and panels up to 24" x 18".

The HFT-1500™ Robotic system provides rotation of probe assembly to probe all test pad orientations.
Captures TDR WaveForms for convenient offline viewing.
The HFT-1500™ includes built-in support for the Tektronix DSA8200 and older TDS8XXX series of TDR instrumentation.
The HFT-1500™ System has an available Ethernet port for SPC plant hook-up.
